What is the name of a house made entirely of ice?

A house made entirely of ice is called an igloo. An igloo is a traditional dwelling built by the Inuit and other Arctic peoples, consisting of compacted snow and ice. An igloo offers protection from the cold and wind and effectively retains heat inside.

Building an igloo requires special knowledge and skill, as it must be tight and durable. Igloos are still used in some arctic communities as traditional housing, but nowadays they are also seen in tourist use, for example as snow hotels.
