Its border neighbors are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kenya in the East<\/li>\n<li>in the north of South Sudan<\/li>\n<li>Democratic Republic of the Congo in the West<\/li>\n<li>Rwanda in the south-west<\/li>\n<li>Tanzania in the south<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Uganda gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1962. Its capital is Kampala, and the country&#8217;s official languages \u200b\u200bare English and Swahili.<\/p>\n<h2>Relations between the European Union and Uganda<\/h2>\n<p>Even though Uganda is not an EU country, it still has significant relations with the European Union.
