Endangered species<\/b> is a species whose population is in danger of decreasing so significantly that it may be in danger of disappearing completely. Endangered species can exist for various reasons, such as habitat destruction, climate change, predation or other human-caused factors. Endangered species are protected by various means, such as the establishment of nature reserves and the preservation of the habitats of the species.<\/p>\n

Example of an endangered species:<\/h2>\n

One example of an endangered species is the Saimaan grouse (Source<\/a>). The Saimaa roe deer is a rare roe deer species that lives in the Saimaa lake region. Its population has declined sharply in recent decades, and it is classified as a critically endangered species. Fishing nets, pollution and climate change threaten the Saimaa norpa, among other things.<\/p>\n

It is important to protect endangered species in order to preserve natural diversity and keep ecosystems in balance.
