What is WWF?

WWF, or World Wide Fund for Nature, is one of the world’s largest and best-known environmental organizations. It was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Gland, Switzerland. WWF’s mission is to protect biodiversity, promote sustainable development and combat climate change. The organization operates in more than 100 countries and has millions of supporters around the world.

WWF objectives and activities

It was founded in 1972, and its activities focus especially on protecting Finland’s natural diversity, improving the state of the Baltic Sea and combating climate change.
