What is research?

Research is the systematic acquisition of information and the creation of information to investigate a specific topic or phenomenon. It can happen in different disciplines and with different methods. The aim of the research is usually to generate new information, to deepen existing information or to confirm the results of previous studies.

The research can be qualitative or quantitative. Qualitative research focuses on understanding phenomena in depth and examining their diversity. Quantitative research, on the other hand, aims to measure and quantify phenomena numerically.

The research process often consists of several steps, such as choosing a topic, collecting material, analyzing and reporting the results. Ethics and reliability are also important in research, so that the results of the research are credible and useful.
