What is complex thinking?

Complex thinking is the ability to perceive and understand complex and multidimensional phenomena, problems and situations. It requires the ability to see the connections, interactions and dependencies between things, as well as the ability to take into account different points of view and the multiplicity of points of view.

Complex thinking also requires the ability to deal with uncertainty, contradictions and paradoxes and the ability to apply different thinking models and tools depending on the situation. It emphasizes understanding wholes instead of their parts and aims to understand systemic structures and dynamics.

Complex thinking is an important skill, especially in today’s increasingly complex world, where phenomena and problems are often multifaceted and multidimensional. It helps us see deeper and wider, find new solutions and create more sustainable and efficient operating models.
