What is a nature park?

A nature park is a protected area intended to preserve natural diversity and ecosystems. Nature parks are usually established to protect rare species, endangered plants and animals, and to conserve natural resources. Nature parks also offer opportunities for nature tourism and camping, but their main purpose is to preserve natural diversity.

Nature parks can be state-owned or private, and their establishment often requires special permits and plans. Nature parks can be of different sizes and their degree of protection can vary. Some nature parks are very small and specialized in the protection of certain species, while others are large areas with diverse biodiversity.

Nature parks provide an important habitat for many endangered species and help preserve biodiversity for future generations. They are also important research targets and offer opportunities for environmental education and training.
