What is interdisciplinary?

Interdisciplinarity is an approach in which experts from different disciplines join forces to solve complex problems or to study phenomena in a more diverse way. This approach aims to cross traditional disciplinary boundaries and utilize expertise and perspectives from different fields.

Interdisciplinarity can happen, for example, in research projects where researchers from different disciplines work together on a specific topic. In this case, experts from different fields can bring their own special expertise and perspective to joint research, which can lead to new insights and innovations.

Interdisciplinarity can also manifest itself, for example, in teaching, where teachers from different disciplines join forces to offer students a more versatile and broader perspective on the subject being studied.

Interdisciplinarity can be useful in solving complex and multifaceted problems, as the cooperation of experts from different fields can bring new perspectives and solutions that a single discipline might not be able to offer.
