What is justice?

Fairness is a concept related to equity, fairness and equality. It means that all people are treated the same and have equal opportunities to get justice. Fairness is a basic value that guides society’s activities and decision-making.

Equity can be viewed from different perspectives. One perspective is justice before the law, meaning that everyone is equal before the law and gets a fair trial. On the other hand, justice can also mean social justice, i.e. that everyone has equal opportunities for a good life and success.

Fairness is an important value both in relationships between individuals and in social decision-making. It promotes trust and well-being in society. The realization of justice often also requires fair structures and systems that ensure equal opportunities for everyone.
