What is national veterans day in Finland?

National Veterans Day in Finland is on April 27 every year. This day is dedicated to all Finnish war veterans who have fought for our country in various wars. Veteran’s Day is celebrated with respect and remembrance of those who have sacrificed their own health and even their lives for Finland’s independence.

Celebrating Veterans Day often includes various ceremonies, wreath-layings and commemorative moments in different parts of the country. Many schools and communities also organize events where veterans are honored and their stories are heard.
